Industrial Conveyor Belts
Chemical Resistant Conveyor Belt
Chemical-resistant conveyor belts are designed for operation in acidic and alkaline conditions. Each belt integrates a carcass composed of EP polyester, NN nylon, or steel cord (ST) with a uniquely formulated cover. They are extensively utilised in the production of phosphates and fertilisers, sea salt, chemical facilities, and paper mills for the transportation of acidic or alkaline lumps, granules, powders, and unit materials.
Key Advantages
- The cover uses a specially formulated rubber-plastic blend (such as chloroprene or butyl rubber) filled with acid/alkali-inert compounds for strong corrosion resistance.
- Belts can be fitted with skirting, baffles, and reverse guide strips to suit different conveying requirements.
- When handling chemically corrosive, sharp-edged materials such as phosphate ore, salt blocks, and fertilizer granules, the cover combines corrosion resistance with high abrasion resistance to prevent surface gouging.
